Wildflowers Forest School Programs

Perfect for families who wish to combine Forest School programming with the traditional school environment, on-line learners or for those who are homeschooled.

At Wildflowers Forest School, in Waterloo, youth will:

  • Create a meaningful connection to nature, themselves and each other through team building games, tool use & creativity, storytelling, free play and ample time to explore the wonders of the forest around them.

  • Develop skills in self-sufficiency, competency, self-awareness & stewardship.

  • Discover themselves, test boundaries and explore the natural world!

  • Participate in a variety of activities designed to enhance their capacity for self-sufficiency, co-operation, and creativity.

  • Express and release their energy in healthy and active ways while enjoying the peaceful setting of the woods.

 

Wildflowers Forest School is situated on approximately 100-acres of land called Bechtel Park in Waterloo, Ontario. It offers many different types of vegetation, ecosystems, habitats, woodlot, and the Laurel Creek floodplain.

Spring Forest School Program Details

  • Wednesday Wildwoods Full Day (5-13yrs)

    Wednesdays: 9am-3:30pm  Start: April. 2nd, 2025
    Fee: $880/12 weeks + HST

    Who doesn’t love a day out in the woods?During this full day program children will express and release their energy in healthy and active ways while enjoying the peaceful setting of the woods.

    They will create a meaningful connection to nature, themselves and each other through team building games, nature-based crafts, free play, and ample time to explore the wonders of the forest around them.

  • Adventurers Tuesdays (4-9yrs)

    Tuesdays: 12:00pm-2:30pm  Start: April. 1st, 2025
    Fee: $370/12 weeks +HST

    A perfect way to start the week and spend a Tuesday afternoon would be strolling through a beautiful forest, playing in a giant fort, building with sticks, playing alongside local flora and fauna, and letting the imagination soar through storytelling and free play.

  • Fox & Kits (Parent & Tot Programs; 18mths-5yrs)

    Tuesdays & Fridays (18mths-5yrs): 9:30am-11:00am Start: April. 1st & 4th, 2025
    Fee: $168/12 weeks + HST & $154/11weeks + HST

    Join us in this program where families with children have the opportunity to learn and share stories, songs, nature crafts, and mini adventures through the trees, and to bond deeply with each other, other families, and the family of the forest.

    Parent/Caregiver must be present during classes
